Boarding Services

At Greencove Kennel, we believe quality care comes from keeping things personal. As a small, family-owned facility with just 25 runs, we’re able to focus on each dog individually and provide the time, attention, and comfort they deserve.

Our family lives on the property, ensuring someone is always nearby. Your dog’s safety is our top priority. The kennel is equipped with temperature monitoring alerts and Wi-Fi enabled fire alarms so we are notified immediately if there’s ever a concern, even after hours.

We provide a safe, comfortable, and attentive home away from home for your dogs. Our goal is to make every stay as stress free and enjoyable as possible for both pets and their people.

Because safety and cleanliness are so important to us, we only allow items that can be safely managed in a kennel environment. Please review our What to Bring section for details on what’s permitted during your dog’s stay.

Every boarding stay includes

✦ Climate controlled indoor runs with fresh water at all times. Raised beds can be provided upon request

✦ Individual attention from our experienced staff
✦ Feeding per your instructions. We recommend bringing your pet’s own food to avoid stomach upset

Proactive Care and Communication

We actively monitor each guest’s health and behavior throughout their stay. If we notice any change in appetite, stool, energy, mobility, or temperament, we will contact you promptly using the phone and email on file and discuss next steps. With your authorization, we can coordinate with your veterinarian if needed.

Boarding Requirements

To keep our guests safe and healthy, we require all dogs to meet the following criteria before boarding.

Vaccinations

✦ Rabies
✦ Distemper/Parvo (DHPP or equivalent)
✦ Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

Proof of current vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian must be provided before your dog’s stay. Records can be emailed to greencovekennel@gmail.com or uploaded directly through our Vaccination Upload Form.

If your dog is due for any vaccines, please have them done a few days before boarding. We ask for at least 48 hours between vaccination and check-in to keep everyone healthy and comfortable.

Health and Behavior

✦ Dogs must be in good health and free from contagious illness or parasites
✦ Dogs must be friendly toward people as our staff interacts closely with each guest daily
✦ We welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes, but aggressive or reactive dogs cannot be accommodated for safety reasons
✦ We do not often accept new boarding clients over the age of 12. Senior dogs must be in excellent health to be considered, older pets can require more intensive monitoring and care. In most cases, we recommend they board with a veterinary facility better equipped to meet their needs.

What to Bring

• Your dog’s regular food, pre-measured if possible. Food must be clearly labeled and packed in resealable containers, such as zip-top bags or plastic food bins.
Any medications or supplements with clear written instructions.
• We can provide raised cots, sherpa blankets, and towels to help your dog settle in comfortably. You may also bring an easy-to-wash blanket or towel from home if you’d like. We do not accept dog beds with stuffing, as they are difficult to sanitize and can pose a risk if chewed or torn.
Toys your dog can safely have unsupervised are welcome.
